By the sea

Sri Lankan Architecture

"Sthupa" is an inherent part of a Buddhist temple. The sun was right above when i happened to pass by..

Beach at "Ambalangoda"

Wide angle view. Alot has been done to protect the beach from another possible tsunami..

A fisherman launching his mighty vessel.. we bathed in a naturally formed pool which is seen at the far end of this pic where alot of people are.. well.. having a good time..

Nature trails

Been a long time since i posted.. This is a visit to the hill area of Sri Lanka called "Belihuloya". Although i didn't know it seems to be a popular eco-tourism place here..

A water system for the regional crops..

Although such scenery is common here, no two places are the same..

We were lucky to have a few days of no rain.. it's been raining heavy there

View from the place we stayed. What else do you need to make your day..

Sometimes kids aren't that annoying..

Mountains, mist and waterfalls tells it all..

Most of the mountains were actually huge rocks, covered with grass

The valley goes on for ever..

Milky water

It's never complete without a dip

Hmmm

What R.I.P should really mean

Villagers

I was next

A villager

Water dripping on the rock and being illuminated by sun light..

Yea, it felt right.

In transit

I'm just spending time in transit from uni to job.. so many places to go and i'd really want a car right now.. soon i hope.

Recurring patterns.. see that small flower there?

Has a harsh look to it ain't it..

Hard day's work..

Although these tuning radios are becoming a thing of the past, the turning wheel sometimes gives better precision in tuning if the signal is really weak.

Last shoot in Malaysia

Some pics i forgot to upload before da Lanka ones..
My frens took me to this "open house".. (one of many but da only one i took my cam with), it's where people give lunch or dinner to friends and who ever.. way of making up for da fasting month. It's when malaysians get really fat.. hehe

Satay.. a malaysian traditional thing.. which i like kinda alot..

Visit to KLCC

I like big places.. It's why humans build big stuff.. they feel good being next to them.

Safiyya.. trying to act innocent just before getting caught for stealing candy..

Really hard to spot something when there's alot of da same thing..

This small water park near KL towers

Taking pics of people scares me.. feel they might come over and smash my cam. well babies are one safe subject.. babies who can't talk atleast.

Near By

These were some objects taken from the f/1.8 50mm. The shallow DOF and great picture quality are it's advantages.

A tree on a tree

Machinery

Cup n dishes

Vegi stack

Thought this looked interesting.. the texture etc. Shallow depth of field isolates the subject well and gives smooth backgrounds..

This is a variant of coconuts know as "King coconuts" which is kinda a fruit, very refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness. It seemed many of my frens didn't know this in Malaysia..

Spices. Sri lanka consumes huge doses of it.. yea it burns..

Man in da house..

Wedding prep

Study time

Mirror mirror on the wall..
